"Bill
Burke...gave
everyone
"double"
what they expected.
How many
can
say
that about
a travel
experience?"
B. Kniegge, 12/03
"From the ease of
signing
up
to all of my
email, my
questions
and
your quick
responses, to
the first-rate
instruction and
camaraderie I thank you
both for
organizing such a
sensational trip." C. Kearney, 6/03

Suggest pre-trip check-up for your
vehicle to catch important
stuff before
you get on the trails such as
fluid levels, belts and
hoses, filters,
wheel
bearings, check brakes, current
registration and insurance,
etc.

As part of the conditions of our permits for
many of our
overnight camping
trips, portable toilets are required by
the BLM and USFS. As
responsible 4-wheelers, we must
address the issue of human
waste
ethics.
That's right,
we're talking about poop!
Please
be prepared for proper
disposal.

BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF THE
MAZE TRIP - April 2004
There was snow, there was mud, there was sunshine, there was
adventure! 4-Wheeling America's much-anticipated trip into the Maze
district of Canyonlands National Park was an unparalleled off-road
adventure into a land hundreds of miles from the nearest gas
station. It was a trip back in time, almost unequalled in this
generation from pectographs that pre-date the Anasazi civilization
to abandoned mines and claims, to an old ranch with a complete Model
A Ford! The group explored slot canyons on foot and camped in places
that most people only dream about.

the 4-wheeling even more
interesting! New Year's Eve will
find us
around a campfire
toasting marshmallows, drinking hot
chocolate and
welcoming in the new year together!
This trip will
include training as Bill teaches how to get unstuck
(should
anyone
get stuck!) and how to pick a proper line.
Vehicle requirements: Tires with good tread including
spare,
frame-mounted tow points on vehicle, CB (handheld okay). Snow chains
are suggested.

Conversation
from Disco 2 Owners
Group, May 2003:
"Didn't
you get that
sense that with
Bill spotting, you can
pretty much get
through anything,
with any vehicle?"
(Chu)
"Absolutely! Bill is amazing. I would
not have done this trip without him."
(Jarrod Wyrick,
